Esther Sotomayor, 95, passed away February 27, 2018. She was born on July 19, 1922 in Ponce, Puerto Rico the daughter of Eugene Aponte and Pastora Diaz. Esther was a member of the Associated of the Virgin Mary at St Rita Roman Catholic Church, Brooklyn, New York. She loved to paint, do gardening, sewing and make jewelry. She was very creative. Esther is survived by 2 sons, Hiram and Edwin Rodriguez; 5 grandchildren, Tracie and George Rosado, Ralph Guatelli, Tanya and Eddie Rodriguez; 4 great grandchildren; 2 nieces, Nydia Ficher and Gladys Santiago; 2 nephews, Albert and Richard Aponte and loving family and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 1st from 10am to 1pm at 280 Mariner Boulevard. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 1st at 1pm in Brewer Chapel.
