"Curt" as he was known to his friends and family, passed away Thursday, Oct. 26th after a brief illness. He is survived by children, Jo Arrington (Jim) of Live Oak, FL., Larry Lashley, (Heidi ) of Mena, Arkansas, Curtis Dan Lashley ( Lisa) of Lutz, Fl., Diane Lashley of Spring Hill, and Don Lashley ( Rhonda) of Ridge Manor, FL, including (12) Grandchildren, and (10) Great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by their mother, Blanche S. Lashley.
Born on December 15, 1934 to Dan L. and Odonia Lashley in Geneva, Alabama where he lived until he joined the United States Marine Corps in 1954; he served in active duty until 1957 and reaching the rank of Corporal before transferring to Marine Corp Reserve until 1962. Upon leaving the military, he pursued his passion of repairing and rebuilding automobiles, working for a number of Chevrolet dealers and owning his own body shop.
He was an avid fisherman, and spent many weekends with family, fishing the flats of Steinhatchee and Horseshoe Beach. He shared his love of the outdoors, taking the family fishing or camping on many vacations, visiting state parks and campgrounds around the state of Florida.
