Andrew John Hallen, 87 of Brooksville passed away peacefully on January 6, 2017. He was born in Buffalo, New York on December 30, 1929.
He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church in Boston, New York; a member of the New York State Teamsters Union, and retired from driving tractor trailers for Interstate and Consolidated Freight trucking companies. He began wintering at Camper's Holiday in 1983 until he bought a permanent residence nine years later in 1994. His hobbies consisted of fishing, hunting, travel, RV camping of National Parks in the U.S., snow skiing, and owned and loved his Harley Davidson Motor Cycles.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine "Josie" Bender Hallen; 6 children, Michael A. Hallen and his wife, Gloria A. Hallen; Cathy M. Lapsley and her husband, Dawson Lapsley; Julie A. Taylor; Thomas H. Hallen; Andrew J. Hallen, Jr. and his wife, Diane Hallen; Elizabeth M. Barkunas and her husband, Charles; 4 step-children, Randie R. Johnson; Ruth M. Miller and her husband, Rich Miller; Raymond C. Bender and Laura R. Hawkins and her husband, James A. Hawkins; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; loving family and friends.
