Dana Granger, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Annapolis, MD, died unexpectedly on November 27, 2017 at the age of 50 during a routine medical procedure for melanoma follow up.

Dana is survived by his parents James F. & Kathryn Granger of Camp Hill, PA; his fiancé, Theresa Graham of Ocala, FL; his children, Jenna, of Boston, MA and Evan of Manchester, MD; his grandmother, Eva Conrad, of Selinsgrove, PA; his siblings, David of Lewisberry, PA and Debra (William) Murray of Virginia Beach, VA and nieces Evelyn & Kate. His lifelong friend, James Boyd, of Millsboro, DE will carry on their traditions of tomfoolery and lighthearted jesting. His memory as PopPop will be treasured by Ethan and Luke and their father, Daniel (Elise) Meadows, of Belleview, FL. Innumerable family members and friends will miss the joy he brought to everyone's life.

Dana was born in Buffalo, NY on January 27, 1967. His youth was spent in New York, central Pennsylvania and Maryland, graduating from Liberty High School in Eldersburg, MD in 1984. He embarked upon a productive career in sales and management with Ward Transport and Logistics, Domino's Corporate offices, Ferguson industries, TCI and IMI Products. Annapolis residents knew him from his evening bartending duties at O'Laughlins. He spent many weekends at his beloved Ocean City, MD beachfront condo. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #46.

Dana was a fervent music lover, imparting his vast knowledge of music on all of his family and friends, and attending concerts of his favorite bands worldwide. He was passionate about sports, Harleys, NASCAR, the beach, his home renovation projects, and entertaining. His veracious personality touched everyone he met in ways that can only be described as magical. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
A commemoration of life is being planned for January in Ocean City, MD. A celebration of his life will be held in Ocala, FL. Details of both ceremonies will be published at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be directed to Moffitt Cancer Center to further melanoma research.
