Debra Ann Miles, 52 of Weeki Wachee passed away May 18, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Britain, Connecticut.
Debra was of Baptist faith. She retired after 23 years serving as a Deputy Sheriff with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, including 13 years as a school Resource Officer in Hernando County. She loved her job, and protecting her community as a Deputy Sheriff. She had an easy smile, but could be tough when needed.
Debra loved her family and friends, and loved to cook. She decorated cakes, weaved baskets, made stained glass pieces and painted. She always did things her way and on her terms. Her "Father" told her it was time to come home a year and a half ago, and she wanted to stay here. She fought till the end, but finally conceded to her "Father's" wishes. I will always love and miss you – Edward.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Edward; daughters, Brittany and Vivian; grandson, Oliver; mother, Mary Ann; father-in-law, Gene; step-mothers, Sheila and Carol; sisters, Dee Dee, Tammy, Cindy and Robin; brothers, Randy, Robert and Mike; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; loving family and friends.
Life Celebration Services will be officiated by her brother, Pastor Mike Kirby.
