Dorothy Mills, 87 of Brooksville passed away January 31, 2017 at home. She was born in Beach Bottom, West Virginia and came here 11 years ago from West Palm Beach.
She retired in 2000 after 55 years of Patient Care for the elderly. Dorothy was a long-time member of the Gold Coast Treasure Club, Inc. in Boynton Beach, Florida and the first female recipient of Treasure Hunter of the year 2001 and again in 2004. She was talented at building doll houses and making doll house furniture. She most enjoyed spending time with family. Dorothy was an amazing woman who was loving, caring and had a wonderful sense of humor. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
She is predeceased by her father and mother, John R. Fisher and Inez Woodard; husband, William Roy Mills; daughter, Karen Sue Mills; sons, William Roy Mills, Jr. and Joseph L. Mills; sister, Helen LaFollette and brothers, John R. Fisher, Jr. and Avon L. "Jr" Woodard.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Mills Enders and her husband, Michael Glatfelter of Brooksville; granddaughters, Carly Mills, Nikki Mills and Jordan Enders; grandsons, Eric Enders, Shawn Vaughn and his wife, Lyndsey; great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Crill; great-grandson, Beckhem Vaughn; sisters, Joyce Cale, Judy Siddle Pilcher and her husband, Tom and Jeanie Voytko; daughter-in-law, Sherri Mills Hubbard; many nieces, nephews; loving family and friends.
