Doyle "Roger" Bartley, 80, passed away June 8, 2018 in hospice. He was born in Leesburg and moved here in 1982 from Tampa. In addition to his parents, Roger is predeceased by his wife of 32 years, Shirley J. Bartley and sister, Judy Vennum. He was Methodist by faith. Roger served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War servicing in South Korea and Germany. He also served for 23 years as Military police. He then worked for GTE-Telecommunication in Tampa. Roger raised tropical birds, painted landscapes, and was an avid NCIS TV show fan. He was also a Tampa Bay Rays fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was a Danica Patrick fan. Roger is survived by his son, Bobby R Bartley and fiancé, Lyndsay Polachek of Spring Hill; 2 daughters, Mary Klein (Casey) of Orlando and Dawn Kirkman (Todd) of Lutz; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, David Bartley, Larry Pepper and Leroy Pepper; sister, Maria Cameron; and loving family and friends. Visitation will be held, Monday, June 18, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at 280 Mariner Boulevard. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm in the Brewer Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
