The Lord called Edward Carl Spencer home on Friday August 17, 2018
He was 80 yrs.old. Born in Youngstown Ohio to Molly and Edward Joseph Spencer. He was preceded in death by both parents, and wife Mary Ann Spencer. He is survived by Mary, 85 of Ingram Texas, Sister Penny and husband Don Wennen and brother Earl Spencer, 2 favorite cousins Rosita Peiser and Joyce Presley. Sister and brother-in-law Libby and Jim Yeloushan, whom he greatly loved. 4 children - Edward Dennie Spencer, Cindy Marie Spencer Moulds and husband Wayne, Carlene Inez Spencer Davis and husband Robbie, and Christine Louise Spencer Bailey and husband David "Dee", 7 grand-children- David, Branden and wife Amanda, Janelle and Husband Ross, Dustin and wife Tiffany, Dalton and fiancé Shelby, Kayla and boyfriend Austin, Kyle and wife Brandi, Rachel and Amanda. 15 great-grandchildren - David, Jonathan, Anthony, Jacob, Dawsen, Kabre, Lillian, Finnigan Carl, Elizabeth Ann, Easton, Catherine, Ryan, Bryan, Mina, Maddie, and 1 great- great grandchild Gracie. Edward took great pride in his children and his grandchildren whom he loved very much.
He graduated from Brewster High School in Tampa, FL. He had an immense love of cars and anything to do with speed. He grew up in the Lowry park area with his best friends Billy Lynn and Jettie Summer.
He was in the National Guard and served 2 years overseas in the Army in Korea. He joined the Tampa Fire Department in 1964. He served 21 years on the Fire Department. He also was a truck driver for Crady Hall, driving MAC trucks from Allentown, PA to Florida and then Buffalo, NY back to Florida.
Following his retirement from the Tampa Fire Department, he became a property manager in Drew Park Tampa for many years. Florida was his home that he loved.
His family loved him for so many reasons, and could listen to his stories for hours. His big warm hands, cup of coffee, and smiling face will be missed the most.
The family will be having a Celebration of his wonderful life at a family home that he loved to visit.
