Elizabeth "Betty" Prida, 79, of Brooksville went home to her Heavenly Father on March 25, 2017. Born in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Vincenzina "Jenny" Muscarella, Betty moved to the Clearwater area as a child. She married the love of her life in 1957, and together they raised five children. In 1997, they moved to Brooksville.

Betty gave her life to Jesus Christ in 1974, and has followed Him faithfully ever since. A devoted wife and mother, her happiest times were spent surrounded by her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and hosting celebrations. She loved animals, traveling, reading, puzzles, and games. Betty served for many years at local community outreach ministries. A true Proverbs 31 woman, her hands were never idle.

Betty is predeceased by her husband, John Charles Prida and brothers Frank Muscarella and James Muscarella.

She is survived by her five children: Lora Pancoast and her husband, Russ, of Brooksville, FL; Joanna Gerakios and her husband, Nick, of Winterville, NC; Mary Fairchild and her husband, Bill, of Largo, FL; Susan Chastain and her husband, Russ, of Fort McCoy, FL; John M. Prida, and his wife, Alisen, of Longwood, FL; sisters Constance Parise of Dunedin, FL and Joan Breslo and her husband, Bob, of Rio Verde, AZ; sister-in-law Denise Shea and her husband, Ed, of Brandon, FL; eight grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Blessing House of New Hope Assembly of God, PO Box 12176 Brooksville, FL 34603.
