James R. Powers, Jr., 70, passed away May 23, 2018. He was a Veteran of the US Army. James is a retired contractor having worked in Oldsmar and Palm Harbor and then working as a supervisor for Pacific Homes. He enjoyed sports and helped coach his son's and grandchildren's sports. James is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rachel; 2 sons, James Powers, III (Gabriella) and Michael Shawn Powers (Jennifer); 5 grandchildren, Roman, Michael, Tyler, Ashley and Gabriel; 4 great grandchildren, Roman, Levi, Faith and Sophia; 2 sisters, Juanita Exum and Micky Robinson, both of GA. Visitation will be May 29 from 6 to 8 at 280 Mariner Blvd. Burial will be May 30 at 10am at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in James name to Gulfside Hospice, 2161 Collier Parkway, Land O Lakes, FL 34639.
