Joan Ann (Murray) Leacock, born March 6, 1925, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on April, 29, 2018. Joan was a resident of Lutz, Florida. Joan was predeceased in 2002 by her husband Robert Leacock. They were married for 57 years. She is survived by her five sons, Tom of Tampa, Tim of Omaha NE. Peter of Burnsville, MN. Pat of Chicago Ill. and Jim of Kansas City, MO. she has 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Joan was born in St. Paul Minnesota. She attended the University of Minnesota where she earned a Bachelors degree in Home Economics. She was fond of making her own clothes, and clothes for her five sons. She was also a good cook, and had many dinners and teas for friends and family. One of her passions was growing flowers especially Iris, that she entered into competition at the Minnesota State Fair and won many ribbons and awards. Joan also played the piano which she learned at an early age, and in her teenage years would accompany her mother who was a contra-alto and sang at the churches in the St. Paul area. Joan was a homemaker until her sons were in high school, then she took a job as an executive secretary for a major insurance company. When Joan and Bob retired they moved to Arizona where they spent many years traveling and hiking in the area. They were active in the church and volunteered at the library.
