Age: 77 of Tampa, FL. He was born in Tampa, FL. Preceded By: His brothers Emilio & Manuel Perez. His parents Manuel & Celia Perez. His uncle/step parents Martha & Paulino Esperon. His half-sister Mary Dawson. Survived By: His loving wife Jennifer Perez, His son Scott & wife Julie Perez and granddaughter Nina Perez. His cousin/step sister Martha Rodriguez (Robert), his sister in-laws Orchid & Marlene Perez. His nieces & nephews: Michelle, Katrina, Celia, and Caroline Perez; Penny Dawson, Robert Rodriguez (Marlén) & Lorraine Bennett (Kevin). His many cousins, friends and family members.
He was an E5 in the 3rd Missile Battalion 79th Artillery APO 169 in the cold war stationed in West Germany with Nuclear Honest John Missiles. He had a long and wonderful career as a Ship Supply Chandler in the port of Tampa calling on tugs, barges, and ships from all over the world. He loved all of the aspects of the marine industry and had many colleagues, business relationships, and friends in the Port of Tampa, other ports in the USA, and the Propeller Club. He spent 54yrs with his soulmate Jennifer Perez, whom he traveled the world with. He really enjoyed traveling out west and was a big Los Angeles Dodgers fan. He loved to watch sports, especially watch his son play baseball. He enjoyed celebrating meals with friends & family regularly and especially on the holidays. One of his favorites was drinking coffee and playing dominos. He was a great chef. He loved spending time with his granddaughter watching her perform gymnastics and diving.
Friends will be received on April 1st, 2017 at 1pm for the Gathering of Memory, 2pm for Celebration of Life located at Brewer & Sons Funeral Homes at 3328 S Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33629.
