Kenneth Mobley Bush, 93, of Minneola, FL passed away January 31, 2017.

He was born March 4, 1923 to Lewis Elzie "Boss" Bush and Annie Arsolene Adkins Bush in Dooly County, GA. He grew up on a farm near Vienna with four brothers and one sister. He married Leanora "Tina" Christmas on December 26, 1943. They had a daughter, Sandra Lee and a son, Kendell Dean.

In 1952 he moved his family to Winter Garden, FL and began working as a butcher at Griffin's Grocery for Johnny Griffin. In 1960 he moved to Minneola where he opened B & G Grocery on Washington Street and eventually purchased the store and named it Bush's Food Mart. In the late 1970's he opened Ken's Minit Mart on Highway 27 where his son was manager. He retired from the grocery business in 1987 and continued his love of yard work.

Kenneth was elected to the Town Council of Minneola in March of 1968 and served through 1972. He was a member on the committees of Finance, Health and Sanitation, Annexation and Sewer, and Cemetery and Real Estate during his tenure.

A veteran of the United States Navy he served from February 1945 to April 1946 in World War II on the Destroyer Escort Robert E Peary (DE-132)..

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Minneola since 1960.

Kenneth is predeceased by his son, Kendell Dean Bush. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Leanora "Tina"; his daughter, Sandra Lee Bush Oliver, Minneola, FL; grandchildren, Chad E (Traci) Oliver, Fruitland Park, FL; Sherri Oliver Pollock, Minneola, FL; Kory D (Tara) Bush, Minneola, FL; great grandchildren, Kyler, Marissa, Kody and Kolby Bush; Nicholas, Hannah and Nolan Pollock; Bailey Gable and Libbey Oliver; brother, Wilbur E. Bush, Macon, GA.
