BURTON, Leon, 83, son of Lloyd and Estelle (nee Sinclair) Burton, was born on July 19, 1933 in Louisville, Kentucky. Leon passed away peacefully on October 16, 2016. Leon married his loving wife, Marilyn (nee Miller) in 1983. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Leon was very proud of his military service. Leon was a long-time member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was an avid collector of firearms and a long standing member of the NRA.. Predeceased by his parents; son, Anthony Lloyd Burton; brother, Ralph Gilbert Sinclair; and sister, Barbara Jones. Leon is survived by his loving family including his wife, Marilyn, daughters, Gail Lynn Burton of Tampa, Lorie A. Heath of Spartansburg, SC; brother, Phillip Burton of Louisville, KY; his three step-children, Teresa French, Cynthia French and Cheryl Iaconette; nine grandchildren, Dana,Brianna,Nikki, Robert, Christie, Eric,Tiffany, Kailey, Joseph, and six great-grandchildren, Xavier, Gabrielle, Donovan,Bailey, Penny, Audrey.
