Mafalda D. Sundy, 92, of Clermont, FL passed peacefully on July 7, 2018 at the Mike Conley Hospice House. She was born on May 2, 1926 in Naples, Italy. She arrived in the U.S. 1946 and lived in Aliquippa, PA. She worked 30 years at Joseph Horne's\Lazarus department store at the Beaver Valley Mall. In 2016, she moved to Clermont, FL. Mafalda is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony A. Sundy, and her parents, Pasquale and Ida (Montella) DeGregorio. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Elaine Sundy and son, Anthony P. (Bernadette) Sundy, and other extended family and friends. She will be remembered for her wonderful loving personality, devotion to her family, and great sense of humor. A private funeral service was held at the National Cemetery at Bushnell, FL. She was an inspiration to everyone she met and will be greatly missed.
Mafalda was a wonderful person who everyone loved once they got to know her. She enjoyed meeting people and talking with them. She would make people laugh with her common sense approach and easy going nature.
