Ruth A. Schneider, 88 , of Tampa passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017. Ruth is survived by her son, Gary Schneider; daughter,Yvonne Pingel ( Kevin); and Granddaughters, Allison Pingel and Sabrina Bartholomay ( Matthew "Bart").

Ruth was born on Dec.5, 1928, in Buffalo,NY. She Married her beloved husband, Albert Schneider, on October. 8, 1950. Together they had 55 years on this earth and now will spend eternity together.They moved to Tampa in 1958 where they built a home and raised their two children. Ruth was very active in the community, as well as in their church, for over 30 years. She volunteered with and participated in many organizations throughout her lifetime: For over 30 years w/ Incarnation's lunchroom; as well as the organization and participation with the yearly church carnival; ladies" bazaar; ladies guilds; and various other clubs. Ruth was elected to and held office w/ most of these organizations throughout many years.

Ruth & many of her family members (daughter ,sister & nieces ) also used to clean the church every weekend and run errands for the sisters at the convent. Ruth was always helping neighbors and friends, esp. when they were alone or ill. Ruth was a very sweet and giving person. Her nickname among the family was, " Saint Ruth." She was an angel on earth.

In addition to her husband, Al, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, William and Clara Josey; her in- laws, Nicholas & Elizabeth Schneider; sister- in- law, Marie Pesch; brother, William "Bill" Josey; niece, Michele Puricelli Scherrer; nephew, Stephen Josey; and sister and Best Friend, Annette Marie Puricelli -Coder.

There are over 65 other loving nieces and nephews and great- nieces and great- nephews, who will miss Sweet Aunt Ruthie.

Funeral Service : Friday , June 23, 2017 @ 10 am. Saint Paul's Catholic Church 12708 N. Dale Mabry Hwy.,Tampa, FL 33618
A reception to celebrate Ruth's life, will follow immediately after the funeral mass: at her daughter's home:Yvonne Pingel
Plans for joining Ruth with Al at Florida National Veterans Cemetery in Bushnell, FL are being arranged for a future date.
