Ronald "Ron" Floyd Tuttle, 71 of Brooksville, Florida passed away peacefully on September 8, 2018. He was born on October 17, 1946 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Floyd Thomas and Gladys Faye Hazel Tuttle. Ron attended Bristow public schools and graduated from Nelagoney High School in May, 1964. He then joined the Air Force on June 2, 1965, and while in the service met the love of his life, Tensie Jane Hardy. They were United In Marriage on August 26, 1967. He continued to serve and Honorably Discharged on June 1, 1971. Ron started his career with American Airlines in Purchasing and later with CE NATCO in Tulsa, Oklahoma until moving to Florida in 1986. He continued his career as a Purchasing Agent with Florida Crushed Stone, and retired in 2005 from Southwest Florida Water Management District (Swiftmud). He is a member of First Baptist Church of Brooksville. For many who knew him, Ron NEVER met a stranger and always enjoyed a good conversation. He was an avid fisherman and would spend all day fishing. Some of his other interests were cooking, gardening, reading, metal detecting, but most of all he cherished his family, and spending time with his 3 grandaughters and 2 grandsons.
He is predeceased by his parents; 2 sisters, Jean Pleasant and LaVon Lane Carey.
Ron is survived by his wife of 51 years, Tensie Jane Tuttle of Brooksville; daughter, Ami Tuttle Ratliff and her fiance', Rich Smiley along with his children, Austin, Taylor and McKinzi Smiley all of Brooksville; son, Kyle Tuttle and his wife, Heather of Brooksville; five grandchildren, Trae Ratliff and his girlfriend, Brittny Desmond, Dustin Ratliff, Adelaide, Claire and Mallory Tuttle all of Brooksvsille; brother-in-law, Dan Hardy and his wife, Julie of Brooksville; nieces, Kaye James of OK; Annie Beth Cooper and her husband, Chris of OK; Kristin Hardy and her wife, Lisa Adams of Boynton Beach; Bonnie Hardy, her son, Christopher, and her partner, James of Brooksville; Melaina, Tia, and Savanna Hardy of Brooksville; Cassy Hayes Camp and her husband, Paul and great nieces, Adylynn and Alyssa all of OK; Jennifer White and her husband, Justin and great nieces, Grace and Courtney all of OK; Brittany and Taylor Bighorse of OK; nephews, Glen Hayes and his wife, Debbie of OK; Wayne Hayes and his wife, Shelly, along with Connor, Kyler, and Brenden all of OK; Paul Bighorse of OK; Mason Bighorse of OK; Choteau Bighorse of OK; Tommy Hardy and his wife, Tracy and Emma Kate all of Lake City; Ryan Hardy and his wife, Tatiana, along with Beckett and Colton all of Port Saint Lucie; David Hardy, Ariel and Jackson of AZ; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
