Victor Manuel Cruz, 87, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed May 25, 2018. He was born in Brooklyn, NY.

Victor, by the age of 17, joined the US Navy with the most significant duty assignment on the Atlantic Reserve Fleet and received the National Defense Service Medal.
He had many careers throughout his life: selling insurance, in which he became a manager; selling Singer sewing machines; and selling cars. You could say he had a gift to sell, and he became friends to many of the people he met over the years during this chapter of his life.

Now, the greatest joy of Vic's life was started over 20 years ago with his Wife, Donna Cruz, who preceded him in death. She was the love of his life, and together they started "Cruzin Karaoke." Now, with this career, the two had the greatest memories and moments. This time gave to the couple the gift of travel.

They got a recreational vehicle that carried them all over the United States, staying in many RV sites and singing his way around each town visited. They made many friends for life, especially with Good Sam, the community of travelers. They even took a summer and worked in Dollywood together. The two traveled on multiple cruises, and Victor sang in the talent shows and won multiple trophies. When they decided to settle down in Zephyrhills, FL, Cruzin Karaoke continued with Vic's singing his favorite Frank Sinatra songs and Donna's being his roadie and favorite groupie.

After Donna passed, Vic's Karaoke families brought him into their lives and homes for dinners, dominoes and always much laughter of singing.
Donna left Victor with two sons, Scott Duncan and Jim Duncan, that continued to be in his life sharing the joys and love.

Victor was preceded in death by his son, Victor Cruz .

He is survived by son, Edward Cruz( Nina), and daughter, Lura Salamon (Greg). With the blended families, they shared both the children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren.

Victor has left a lot of joys and memories shared by all. Yet, the greatest gift of all has been his singing Frank Sinatra songs.

With all of this being said, no matter what, Victor Cruz will always either quote or sing Frank Sinatra because he always did things, " MY WAY."

Friday, June 8, 2018, has been set aside for Vic, our father, our friend. There are several happenings taking place on this day. If you wish to attend one, or all, you are most welcomed to do so.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation in Victor's name to the Gulfside Hospice or the Cancer Society of Tampa Bay.

A potluck dish would be most appreciated. Please bring your memories of Victor. There will be a memory book to sign on one of the tables.
