Dr. Victor M. McKenzie passed away on September 10, 2018. He was born in Guyana South America; on October 22, 1947 the son of Charles and Ellen McKenzie. He is survived by his wife Serujnie, Mother Ellen, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 16th from 4pm to 7pm at Brewers & Sons Funeral Home, 1190 S. Broad St., Brooksville, FL 34601. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, September 17th @ 10am at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church,13485 Spring Hill Dr. Spring Hill, FL 34609. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513 .

Dr. V. Michael McKenzie - Was a Psychologist and Professor. He attended St. Anthony and St. John Elementary and Kitty Progressive High School. Graduated with a B.A. from the City University of New York; a M.Ed. and C.A.S. from Harvard University; a M.S.Sc. and Ph.D. from Syracuse University. He was a teaching Fellow in Psychology at Harvard and Psychology Instructor at Syracuse University. He also was an Adjunct Professor at St Leo University in Florida. He has published numerous scholarly articles in professional journals and was Consulting Editor for the Ophthalmology Management Magazine. He was also on numerous Radio and Television programs. Dr. McKenzie was Clinical Director of the Medical Services Department's EAP at the New York City Transit Authority. He was appointed by Governor Lawton Chiles to the Commission on Minimum Standards for Batterers Treatment in Florida. He served on the Parish Board at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.

Michael was a loving husband, remarkable father and devoted Catholic. He served the community by providing anyone in need with ProBono counseling sessions..

We will always carry his memory in our hearts and Love him dearly.
